Appalachian Strong

Original Publication Date: December 18, 2024

On the weekend of September 27th, 2024, Hurricane Helene brought devastating flooding to the mountains of North Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee, resulting in the loss of over one hundred souls and the destruction of entire communities. The destruction is catastrophic, and we at Falstaff Books are bringing together some of the top names in genre fiction to help out our neighbors.

The Anthology will be completed and released in December, 2024, and all orders will ship at that time.

APPALACHIAN STRONG is a charity anthology featuring short stories from amazing writers, with all proceeds going directly to individuals suffering the effects of Helene. The money raised will go to businesses and individuals directly, with no middleman. Our targeted fundraising includes support for Bella & Oliver Soap, owned by the niece of Falstaff Books publisher, John G. Hartness. They lost their home, their vehicles, and all their business infrastructure in the flooding. There are many stories just like them throughout the NC mountains, and we hope to be able to give people a leg up on their rebuilding.
